Barcelona Travel Guide (with Offline Maps) App Reviews

I have many wonderful apps. This is not of them. Very confusing. Useless. I would give it zero if I could.

Great app. Gives you the places to go and how to get there. Can use a bit of improvement by coordinating the search to subway map and the lines at the station just like google map.

Cant wait to use this awesome app on my trip!!

I will not recommend.....

Its frustrating. The GPS cant update fast enough if at all. And limited places listed. The map and GPS on the iPhone plus some other guide works much better. In fact the phone GPS is amazing. I discovered the beam function.

Wow! This is the one travel app to rule them all. It lists attractions, hotels, shopping, restaurants in each covered city. More importantly it builds automated itineraries for each day of a trip based on traveler interests, hotel and location of sights. This can be done manually. Everything can be shown on a map with walking or public transport directions. Add in augmented reality using the iPhone camera and full offline use of GPS and an amazing app results. A few issues: 1. App crashes about once in every 10 times I add an attraction. But it does save reliably. 2. No way to email, download or print my trip details. Thats ok if I can trust the app but I dont want to spend hours entering a complex multiday trip and them lose it all. Not happened yet but makes me anxious. 3. When I zoom in on the map I can sometimes control what icons show (in the navigation pane), but sometimes not (in the itinerary pane). Also if I view a stop and then go back to the map in itinerary I lose where I had zoomed to. 4. We need more details and color on attractions, shopping, restaurants. The descriptions are skimpy in places. 5. Ultimately it would be nice if the app suggested restaurants too. 6. Be nice to add the ability to make a journal with pics and text with where you visit. Cant wait for the updates and new cities.

Also found good recommendations here. My friend downloaded the lonely planet barcelona guide for this trip and we almost didnt use that at all, this app was so much better.

This is a well organized app and has some cool features. The planning of your walking routes for each day are a big plus to estimate your time to get to places so you know if its walkable or not. The map is okay and useful but I it is not the best map because some streets are missing. Also the GPS is spotty at best where it doesnt come on most of the time or doesnt update fast enough to pinpoint coronet location. Overall probably worth the buy though. We liked it better than the lonely planet guide although the lonely planet guide gas better in depth descriptions if places.

We used this app during a week trip in barca. I loved the gps tracking and directions. We also used its ability to plan our days. Overall worth the money.

This app is well- designed and has an intuitive interface. Its great how it allows adding your own sites, or add to the information of existing sites, but it would be nice if it let you create multiple itineraries for the same days so you could compare options, or for groups that have people with different interests. Id like to be able to create my own categories when adding places, instead of being forced to group them under other if they dont fit into an existing category. Would also be nice if you could e-mail or share the itinerary in some way, but overall excellent app.

the app provides map and location service without the access to internet. it makes locating myself and looking for my destnations so convenient. it also shows numerous noteworthy sights and restaurants. great app! one suggestion: it would be better if the map can rotate according to the direction im facing.

We used this app while in Barcelona and it was very helpful in setting our itinerary. The descriptions of attractions were excellent and directions also very good. The only issue was that sometimes it was difficult to follow the directions in the alleys and streets of the Gothic Quarter.

Great app. Thanks. The navigation service works like a charm. Like a personal planner the itinerary was great. It would be nice to improve the restaurant selection(e.g add Michelin rated or zagat rated). For people who dont eat ham Spain is a challenging place to find food.

Very helpful got us where we needed to be without any Internet connection!

The overall app is very attractive. The graphics are pleasing. The homepages content makes planning your trip easy. I can get information quickly. It is a leading edge design well-suited to first-time and repeat users. Impressive colors, graphics, photos, etc. I enjoy using the mtrip guides and would highly recommend the app to a friend or colleague.

Great app, perfect replacement for a book, good chance for user input!

Used this app on a recent trip to Barcelona, and loved it. The offline maps were terrific. Plus the app recommended a restaurant that turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. Lots of good info, easy to use. Would give it 5 stars but my one problem with it was that the turn by turn navigation was confusing.

This app really helped me during my stay in Barcelona. It showed me 1) where I am, 2) where my destination is, 3) where metro stations are, 4) etc. I was very happy to have it

Im not sure how it works but its amazing... The offline map know exactly where you are and gives you directions to anyplace you like... I am a believer.
