Barcelona Travel Guide (with Offline Maps) App Reviews

Great for looking up places to visit, but was not all that helpful in navigating around Barcelona. Finding buses etc.

As the one on Amsterdam, it s a very great app! Offline, very usefull. Make your itinary as you wish, or let the app random it! Write your journal trip with your photos... Except that you cant add videos, this is really great! I will take it for the next destinations, without hesitation!

Its being a great tool to my trip.

I have all of them, always help me. Specialy about off lime maps.

This guide is PERFECT! Almost everything I would expect from an eGuide! Itinerary planner is nice, did not like the Genius recommendations but this is personal, as I like to plan myself, and adjust to my pace. Enhancements could be: Display scale in map; directions do not show overall distance; allow marking the already visited places and suggest move non visited ones planned in a day to another; rotate map orientation to north, better Subway Map resolution...

I have used this app while in BCN a week ago - but got frequent crashes with this App on Iphone 4S. Wehen ignoring this fact it was OK

-Very limited information; many sights have no information. -Information on sights are provided by other users. -No means to export itinerary to other applications or printer. -Limited map area; BCN airport is outside the map so it is not possible to plot a route to your hotel. -mTrip Genius function hangs when trying to create an itinerary whit too many favourite sites. -Smart Order function is imprecise and creates itinerary that will send you to all four corners of the city on the same day. -Only one itinerary can be created; creating a second one will delete the first. This App is not worth paying for at this time.

Talking about the Barcelona guide: At the cost of a bottle of wine this guide will supply you with a wealth of information. Just the mtrip genius alone is worth the money. You choose what you want to see, and how fast you are on foot or if you intend to rent a bike which is available everywhere and lets you cover way more attractions. Barcelona is extremely pedestrian and bike friendly. I just arrived in Barcelona and the information I collected thru m-trip before I even got here (hint: use the my favorites button) has already made my day. I already have accessed this info repeatedly on my non 3G I-Pad because you CAN run this app without access to the cloud or free WiFi the latter of which is not common here, finding my way from the bus stop to the hotel. And by the way, of course you get a brief history summary, the hours of operation and cost of entry fees to name a few more benefits. I didnt even have time yet to play with the augumented reality feature. So if you have time to play its included in the $5.99 as well. Always have mtrip at least as a backup. Did I mention that a map of the city is part of the deal. Be without mtrip next time on your own risk.

Overall this is an excellent application. Just be wary when using the public transport routes as they are pretty bad. The system does not take into consideration buses or that you can change subway lines so it plans weird routes that send you to far away metro stations.

I used this app to plan most of my trip to Barcelona. Overall, I am very satisfied with the app. Here are a few improvements that could be made in the next update: 1. Fix occasional crash 2. I could not find an easy way to search for metro (subway) stops near me 3. It would be great if this app would take the weather into planning consideration - more or less time outdoors depending on the weather

The itinerary genius is great. I just hoped there was a way to not reinclude places Ive seen when I regenerate a new itinerary, because sometimes you just dont follow exactly what you planned and this cannot account for it. Otherwise? Very nicely done, most information correct!

Everything you need for your Barcelona trip. But needs more info about the restaurants..

GPS worked fine. App was decent. Is it worth €4.99 I am not sure.....

Used it instead of a map our whole week in Barcelona and it was flawless, not only show our location on the map, but our direction of travel, and detailed routes from place to place- good in a confusing city! I will get this for any city I plan to visit. Excellent purchase.
